The next queer figure drawing event will take place at Colman Park Beach on Lake Washington at 6:30-8:30pm on Wednesday, August 13th. We will aim to gather in the big grassy patch at the North end of the park (near the stone terrace). The session starts promptly at 6:30pm, but artists are welcome to drop in whenever during the session.

Regarding accessibility, there is a parking lot with two handicap parking spots at the beach with a curb-cut and paved path leading to the grass. The grass is flat but unpaved. There are no public restrooms at this park.

ALL skill levels welcome and encouraged! Spare art supplies will be available, but you are encouraged to bring any of your own supplies. Please bring your own clipboards, folding chairs, and easels. Artists will be seated on their own blankets/ fold out chairs in a circle around the model.

This practice is centered around queer people, although I certainly won’t be defining what that means for models or artists - it is up to folks to decide if this applies to them. If you want to be in this space, you likely belong in it.

Pose schedule:

• 10 x 30 second poses (5 min)

• 5 x 2 minute poses (10 min)

• 4 x 3 minute poses (12 min)

• 3 x 5 minute poses (15 min)

• 2 x 8 minute poses (16 min)

• 2 x 10 minute poses (20 min)

• And a few minutes to share drawings.

Regarding covid, as we will be outside, masking will not be enforced.
